The father brought the teen to the U.S. from Honduras in 2010. The father began sexually molesting him when he was 15 years old and they moved to Huntsville, records state. Soon after, the father forced his son to have sexual contact with Edwards, the special agent wrote in the affidavit.

Other evidence includes text messages and pornographic photos, including nude pictures of the teen, records state.

The teen received 13 payments from Edwards, but the boy typically was required to give the money to his father, court records allege. Bank records show the payments between November 20, 2015 and April 10, 2017 total $20,350, according to investigators.

An Opp high school teacher is on leave after she was arrested for having sex with two different students, police said.

Ashley Hall, 33, was booked into the Covington County Jail on May 1, according to jail records. She is charged with two counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student under the age of 19.

She was released from the jail the same day after posting $700,000 bond, $350,000 for each count. Hall taught English at Opp High School, according to the school’s website.

A former Jefferson County teacher has been arrested on charges of having inappropriate sexual contact with a student.

Jennifer Marie Perry, 27, surrendered to the Jefferson County Jail on Monday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. She is charged with having sexual contact with a 17-year-old student at Pinson Valley High School.

Police in Tuscaloosa have arrested three women at a massage parlor during a four-month investigation into online advertisements for prostitution in the area.

Sgt. Brent Blankley said officers found the posts in October on a site that’s functionally similar to the personal ad site craigslist, but includes more offers of illicit services.

The investigation led police to A1 Therapy and Spa on Highway 69 South, a massage parlor, where officers have arrested three women since October, including one arrest made last week.

A volunteer basketball coach in Cullman County was arrested earlier this week after an investigation revealed he had sex with a juvenile, Sheriff Matt Gentry said.

Spencer Jackson Byrd, 21, of Cullman was arrested Wednesday. He has been charged with second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and enticing a child, Gentry said.

A Blount County school administrator was arrested early this morning on felony charges that he videotaped a 14-year-old girl nude in the bathroom without her knowledge.

Tim Clevenger, the 48-year-old assistant principal at Locust Fork High School, is charged with production of obscene matter, criminal surveillance and possession of obscene matter, according to court records. The incident happened more than a year ago, but school IT officials recently discovered the video on Clevenger’s school computer.

School officials today said he remains on leave pending the outcome of the criminal case.
