An alias warrant for arrest has been issued against a former Dothan firefighter after police recently arrested him on child solicitation and porn charges.

Court records show Houston County Circuit Court Judge Brad Mendheim issued an alias warrant for the arrest of 45-year-old Clarence Ray Griffith III in connection to a probation violation for methamphetamine making and possession convictions in his court.

Two men will now be convicted sex offenders after they pleaded guilty to soliciting children over the Internet during an undercover Hartford police investigation called Operation Guardian Angel.

A former health care official, 59-year-old Michael Lee Graue, pleaded guilty Thursday morning to felony electronic solicitation of a child in front of Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Quattlebaum.

As part of a guilty plea agreement, Graue received a 6-year prison sentence. He applied for probation through his attorney, Thomas Smith, which will be heard by the court on March 5.

“He offered to give the girls shoes right in front of Alexander Court apartments,” Ash said. “The oldest one said ‘we don’t talk to strangers’ and he literally chased them two blocks.”

Ash said Hester allegedly chased the girls all the way back to one of their homes where a parent came out and confronted him. Ash told the court Hester took his shirt off as he ran back to the Alexander Court apartments.

Ash said police arrested Hester at the apartments shortly after he’d just shaved, which he believed was in an effort to evade police.

A Houston County judge sentenced a former Dothan police officer on Monday morning to serve 10 years in prison for having sex with a student at Dothan High School.

Circuit Court Judge Kevin Moulton sentenced 37-year-old Lanice Clifton Bonds to serve a decade in the state Department of Corrections.

Bonds pleaded guilty last month to a felony charge of “school employee or official engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19.”
