Defense lawyer Tommy Drake filed the request in Cullman County Circuit Court on Friday. Drake says a hearing is set for Tuesday.

Police officers from Huntsville and other jurisdictions have been investigating this operation, which used online tactics to solicit prostitution to individuals and businesses among areas of north Alabama. Dewaun Cartral Stephens, 34, of Huntsville was a particular target for Huntsville police. He is charged with two counts of first-degree human trafficking and is in the Madison County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Also arrested were Tammie Denise Garner, 53, of Oakman and Tiffany Lee Meck, 24, of Decatur. Both are charged with soliciting prostitution. Meck’s mother, 43-year-old Geneva Elaine Meck, is charged with aiding and abetting prostitution for allegedly providing means for her daughter’s solicitation.

But it’s what ReShonda Tate Billingsley did next that has people buzzing: Billinglsey, a prominent Houston-area author, had her daughter post a new picture of herself to Instagram earlier this month holding a sign reading, “Since I want to post photos of me holding liquor, I am obviously not ready for social media and will be taking a hiatus until I learn what I should (and) should not post. Bye-bye.”
